I don't think it was dropping the Wi-Fi it would just stop playing cuz I had it set to optimized. Then I figured out you need to set it so that it plays in the background. But first I use an app called Xplayer which plays all video formats works well Chromecast and has Background Play. I am using my phone to stream so I'm not sure if this will help everyone. :::UPDATE::: I know I commented saying I thought I fixed it, well I hadn't. I bought a new Chromecast and it work for a couple days and now it's doing it again I can't figure this out. I am using my Samsung Galaxy phone and made sure that Google home was connected to the same Wi-Fi. It plays Netflix and Disney just fine but when I use VLC or any other media streaming app it drops the the Wi-Fi over and over. I've been using Chromecast for 4 years fine with no problems and the last few days the Chromecast keeps dropping the Wi-Fi signal. Hi there, I have a question, I can't figure this out. ![]()
